1st Air Ambulance Squadron recruits

The first squadron was under the command of Major George G. Wilson. It completed its training at Laconia, N.H. at the beginning of August 1945 and had reported to AFS Headquarters in New York for embarkation, but due to the cessation of hostilities on August 14th did not sail. The unit was disbanded on August 20th.
