Frank Graves Fiedler was born July 17, 1897 at Ottumwa, Iowa, to Mary Belle Graves and William Fiedler. He attended Dartmouth College, Class of 1918, when he took a leave from his studies and left for France in June 1917. He served with TMU 185 for 5 months and subsequently enlisted in the U.S. Army at Paris in November 1917. Fiedler returned to the States at the end of May 1919 and was discharged.

He was married to Susan Bedinger (1901-1971), they had two daughters.

The 1931 Directory of the AFS Association listed Fiedler as living in Ottumwa, Iowa, and manager of the Sporting Goods Department of Harper & McIntire Co.

Frank Graves passed away on June 15, 1993, at Mason City, Iowa.
